A Public Service?

"I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." -- Thomas Jefferson

I call this site and the work I am doing a "public service" simply because it is actually work that our government should have already done a long time ago. The data I've gathered here and the analysis I provide make it abundantly obvious: We have no legitimate reason to attempt to change drug taking behavior through force of law. The drugs simply aren't as dangerous as we have been led to believe, and the majority of the users of the drugs are not causing significant problems. Drug abuse is a medical problem, and the vast majority of people who use drugs do so responsibly. Therefore, they have the right to be left alone. Punishing people for what they do to themselves is surely an act of tyranny, if not outright treason, in the land where all are supposed to be "equals."

The war on drugs is an absolute abomination and an affront to everything I have been taught to hold dear about "America." Our rights are supposed to be protected by our government, but our most basic right -- to touch our own bodies and minds as we see fit -- has been usurped in the name of a phantom enemy. It has gone on for far too long, and it is well past time to put an end to it. Our government has this data (that is where I obtained all of it, after all), but has failed the citizens by misusing it and misrepresenting what it all means.

I've put it all together to help make it easy for everyone to understand that this issue is absolutely not something that we need to be wasting our precious resources on. I'm simply an American doing what Americans have always done: standing up for what is right. None of us has the right to punish someone over what they do to themselves. The alleged impacts of drug use on society are laughably minuscule, but the effects of waging a war against our own citizens has been profoundly destructive. It is therefore, my duty to bring this to your attention and to work as hard as I possibly can to put an end to this unforgivable usurpation of individual rights. I urge you to start paying serious attention to this matter and seek your assistance to help put an end to it.
